Our journey with Abura started in Amsterdam, full of love for our origins and enriched by ancient cultures.

As a couple of Ghanaian and Turkish descent, we wanted to find a skincare experience that reflected our passion and authenticity.

We were proud of the traditions of our cultures. We were enchanted by the soothing effect of aged shea butter and cocoa butter from Ghana, and enjoyed the wonderful scents of pomegranate seed and rosehip oil from Turkey. Every scent, every touch brought us closer to our roots and strengthened our bond with our history.

• Every time he visited Ghana, he was impressed by his grandmother's glowing skin. Her secret? Shea butter, long passed down as an important ingredient for healthy and radiant skin. He introduced her to pure shea butter, and she quickly fell in love with it. It quickly became a permanent part of their household.

• From an early age, she was fascinated by the beauty rituals of her mother, whose radiant skin was always admirable. Her secret? A blend of pomegranate seed oil and rosehip oil, used for centuries in Turkish culture for its many skin benefits.

We have realized our vision with love, passion and excellent quality. After three years of dedication and careful selection, our first creation was ready: the body oil in five different scents, each inspired by the essential oils we used.
